Saturday August 25 - 3:00 pm (all times Eastern)
Kansas City
- Stephan called but did not have time to talk except to say that he is
on his way to a
very big bonus in Sioux Falls South Dakota. He must reach it before 8:45pm to
get it. Stephan and Jim&Donna came in 47th and 48th in the first leg which is
really good and they are pleased with their progress and have plenty of energy
left to gain some ground.
Sunday August 26 - 2:50 am
Fargo, North Dakota
- Stephan will have to recalculate the route a bit as Duluth seems to put them a
little out of the way and they left late on Saturday because they took a lot of
time to calculate the route. There are big bonuses in Alaska, California and a
lot of far away places. Unfortunately, all far away from Duluth.
Sunday August 26 - 1:30pm
Split Rock Minnesota - They are
heading off to San Jose California where there are big bonuses and from there
will see how much time they have left for other bonuses.
Sunday August 26 - 8:40pm
Sioux Falls, South Dakota - Will try
to get some rest in
Mitchell on the 90 just west of Sioux Falls and will figure out the next
moves....
Monday

Mitchell South Dakota - We have come to the realization that the mistake in
calculation has wasted half a day of progress. Therefore, it will be hard to
move up in the standings from now on. Our new motto, have fun and enjoy the rest
of the rally no matter what place we end up.
Monday
August 27 4:30pm
Wyoming - Stephan is now going for bonus points in Wyoming before heading
out to San Jose California for more bonuses.
Tuesday
August 28 2:00am
Wyoming - Just leaving Salt Lake City and planning to be in San Jose by noon
today. Will collect bonuses around there. Depending how Stephan feels, he will
let Jim and Donna chase some more bonuses while he may take it easy and slow
down the pace a little. The weather has been cooperating for the last little
while. Knock wood.
Tuesday
August 28 7:00pm
Mount Hamilton, California - Got the Mount Hamilton bonus just in time then
heading to San Francisco for more before heading back east.
Wednesday
August 29 1:30am
San Francisco, CA - Got a few bonuses here including going to the
oldest light bulb that has been on
since 1901. After a rest in SF, Stephan will be heading to L.A., the Grand
Canyon and/or Las Vegas before heading back to St-Louis for the Friday deadline.

August 29 10:00am
Livermore, CA - Stephan is getting up and planning his trip back going
through Denver for some more points and heading back to St-Louis in time for
check-in in St-Louis at 8am Friday morning.
Thursday
August 30 9:00am
Colorado - Stephan is on his own now and is thinking of getting some bonus
points in Aspen. It depends on the weather and the progress he can make and
still save energy to get back to St-Louis in time. Still 1000 miles to St-Louis

August 30 3:30pm
Idaho Springs, Colorado - Less than 1000 miles from the final checkpoint
which has to be reached by 8 Friday morning.
Friday
August 31, 5:00am
St-Louis MO - Stephan is ready to check in at the FINAL checkpoint. He will
see where he is in the standings and return home at a relaxed pace.
